Periods can be a bugger, there’s no denying it, but understanding the changes in your body throughout the month will help you optimise your hormones so you can have a much happier calmer cycle!
Knowing how to optimise your monthly flow can turn you in to a sexy powerhouse of awesomeness!
This week for example you will get emails from me, I’ll be popping up on Facebook, sharing my shizzle, coaching my 1-2-1 clients and SFW ladies along with setting up the launch of my next exciting project.
In my spare time I’ll be hitting a few PB’s at crossfit, eating only when hungry and cooking clean for the family so there is every chance I will drop a few pound too!
I’ll want to be out and about showing up in the world, life and soul of the party.
In fact, I’ll pretty much be able to deal with just about anything that comes my way!
(Just to clarify! This isn’t me, I am not blonde and I NEVER iron)
But that’s because I know, fast forward 10-14 days and I will be struggling to get even a tweet out, my strength will drop, taking my energy with it!
I will want to eat anything not nailed down and carbs will be constantly teasing me!
My body will bloat and woo be tide anyone who doesn’t hang their towel up!

You’ve got to love the menstrual cycle!
A 28 day (ish) rollercoaster of highs and lows!
Today we are going to talk about the highs…
From days 4, 5 or 6 to 14, when your physiology is at its strongest, your body can handle tougher, more complex workouts & you are at your most focused.
(It’s a great time to start a diet)
Oestrogen and testosterone hit a high, your hair is shining, your skin is glowing and you are ready to mate, so you should be feeling frisky!
This is when your energy is highest and you are at your most radiant.
It’s the week to launch new projects and get shit done!
However, a word of caution, this is also the week that it is easy to over commit yourself for the weeks ahead.
Venus week is when you want to be “showing up” and getting out in the world, but a week from now, you may find yourself longing to curl up in front of the fire with the dog and the last thing your want is a diary packed full of engagements, that you may even find yourself resenting.
So ladies, maybe it’s time to start tapping in to your Venus power and start looking at your menstrual cycle differently, maximising the good times and nurturing yourself in the tough times.
